CNN reported: The US-China trade war has reduced tariffs from 104% to 10%.
Last week, I also posted a blog that Trump deliberately used a high tariff of 104% to punish China with a high-pressure attitude. There is a Chinese slang saying “kill one to warn the hundred”, which means Trump wants the whole world to succumb to his emperor dream policy. When I posted this news, although I was unhappy and didn’t know how long this American emperor would delay his dream, but I was calm and determined in my heart.
Because I am Chinese, I understand the character of the Chinese people. The more they are suppressed by foreign powers, the more they will inspire the unity of the people. People in the world only know that the Chinese are the most hardworking nation, but they don’t know that the character of the Chinese people is tough and stubborn in their politeness. They would rather starve or sacrifice their lives than succumb to bullying and power; and the Chinese are a hardworking nation that is not afraid of hardship. People in developed countries in Europe and the United States work 8 hours a day, while Chinese people can work 16 hours, not to mention that Chinese people generally have high IQs. How could such a hardworking nation that would even sacrifice their lives for the love of the country be defeated? Trade wars can cause the loss of some business and some customers, but they cannot cause the loss of the country. This is the common thought of all Chinese people.
But today I saw a news report from CNN: After the economic and trade talks in Geneva, Switzerland, the two sides decided not to raise tariffs on each other and restore the previous tariff to add 10% tariff.
The other 34% tariff will be postponed for 90 days (later means it can still be negotiated). This is good news for both the United States and China. If the two countries are not hostile to each other and cooperate for mutual benefit, the economy will slowly recover. Ordinary people can live and work in peace and make life better.
